So why DJ? That seems to be the question I hear often. My reason is the same as many other DJs, for the love of music. There are so many great songs and artists I want to share. The atmosphere of a party is made or broken by the music that is played. Being able to help make someone’s party successful by providing great music is rewarding.
I also DJ for the love of people. I have been very blessed to have met so many wonderful people at events and celebrations. Helping make a couple’s wedding day memorable is one of the best experiences a DJ can have, in my opinion.
These are the main reasons I do what I do. Yes, Being a DJ is a job and it would be foolish to say that money does not play any part. But in the end of the day, if you are DJing only for the money, you will not be DJing much longer. People can sense insincerity and you can’t get away with playing the same songs at every event. These will be the fatal flaws that put you out of business.
As it has been said many times before, Do what you love and love what you do. This is the motto that will help you find success. It has done me well in my personal and professional life.
